Are you thinking of selling your home? Here are some tips I feel might help you. #1 Check out your curb appeal. Change dated lawn ornaments, trim shrubs and plants back. Clean up porches and sidewalks. What is beautiful in the summer can sometimes be really ugly come winter. #2 Most buyers get a home inspection after they have a purchase contract. If you are worried about surprises get an inspection done yourself and take care of any issues that show up. Could save a lot of money and heartache later. #3 If a wall needs painting do it. If the colors are really bright or personal choice, paint it. If you can see it so can a buyer. If the carpet needs cleaned or replaced, do it. Buyers tastes are always more expensive than yours. #5 Take care of your storage areas. Purge, purge, purge. If you are selling you are going to have to do it anyway. One of the most important features you have is storage space so organize and tidy it up. Basements, garages, storage sheds. Last of all!!!! We don’t have “stagers” in our community so find someone you think has really great taste and ask for help. I don’t know how to do it but I know when it is right. Help me sell your home. I would love your listing.
